RezReels is a community for sharing your creative juices through film and digital storytelling. Using state-of-the-art technology and drawing upon the resources of their unique heritage, filmmakers are empowered to turn the "lens" on their own perspective.
RezReels, which is administered by tribes through Public Law 102-477 contracts, is a collaboration between the U.S. Department of the Interior's Office of Indian Energy and Economic Development (IEED) and MyTribeTV designed to provide Indian Youth with the necessary tools to allow them an opportunity to enter the world of film production. RezReels trains youth on equipment usage, shooting techniques, audio, editing, etc.
Topics of RezReel films can range from tribal history, storytelling, culture, language, biopics on tribal elders, and more.
Films will be archived and stored on the Rezreels.com to be shared with others.
